Overview:
The Ed-Connect Summit Participation Grant is created to support international education professionals in attending the Ed-Connect Summit 2025 in Morocco. This five-day summit, taking place from September 14–19, 2025, offers an immersive experience focused on networking, professional development, and exploring the rich cultural landscape of Morocco. The grant is intended to help offset some travel costs, allowing a broader range of educators to benefit from this unique experience.
Grant Purpose:
The Ed-Connect Summit Participation Grant is intended to partially offset airfare expenses and meals outside of conference-provided meals. By offering this financial assistance, MOBT Global seeks to make the summit more accessible for educators who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing international education at their institutions.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Register early: Be registered for the Early Bird registration for the Ed-Connect Summit 2025.
- Submit a Statement of Objectives: Provide a brief (300-500 words) statement highlighting the nature of their work in international education, including details of their role, key achievements, and what they hope to accomplish by attending the summit.
- Submit a Letter of Recommendation: Secure a letter of recommendation from a superior or department head that:
- Confirms their support for the applicant’s attendance at the summit.
- Highlights the applicant’s contributions to international education at their institution.
Grant Details:
The Ed-Connect Summit Participation Grant includes up to $1,000 USD reimbursement for travel expenses.
Number of Grants Available:
A limited number of grants are available, so interested educators are encouraged to apply early.
Selection Criteria:
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Commitment to International Education: A demonstrated record of supporting global learning and cross-cultural engagement.
- Impact Potential: Applicants should clearly outline how attending the summit will benefit their professional development and their institution’s international education efforts.
- Quality of Recommendation: The letter of recommendation should reflect strong institutional support and provide insight into the applicant’s contributions and dedication to international education.
Application Process:
- Application Form: Complete the Ed-Connect Summit Participation Grant Application Form.
- Upload Required Documents: Include the Statement of Objectives and Letter of Recommendation.
- Submit Before Deadline: Applications are due by January 14, 2025.
Notification of Award:
Recipients will be notified by April 15, 2025.
Grant Requirements:
Grant recipients are expected to:
- Attend all summit sessions, workshops, and activities.
- Engage actively with other attendees, contributing to the summit’s collaborative environment.
- Share a post-summit reflection with MOBT Global, detailing their experience and insights gained, to be shared on MOBT Global’s platform or in educational publications.
Reimbursement Process:
Recipients must submit an Ed-Connect Summit Participation Grant Reimbursement Claim to MOBT Global between September 20, 2025 and October 20, 2025, including the original receipt for the summit registration and supporting receipts.
