Program Overview

This four-week summer program offers students an exceptional opportunity to live and study in Morocco’s capital city, Rabat. Through immersive Arabic language instruction, homestay accommodation, and culturally rich excursions, students gain firsthand experience with Moroccan life while earning academic credit transferable to their home institution.

Students live with carefully selected Moroccan homestay families, providing a warm and authentic environment to practice Arabic, deepen cultural understanding, and build meaningful personal connections.

Program Highlights

  • Program Length: Four 4-week sessions offered each summer
  • Small Class Size: Maximum of 15 students per class
  • Expert Faculty: All courses taught by full-time Arabic instructors specializing in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL)
  • All Levels Welcome: Courses available for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students
  • Choice of Language Track:
    • Classical Arabic (MSA – Modern Standard Arabic)
    • Moroccan Arabic (Darija)
  • Earn Academic Credit:
    • Transcripts and academic records sent directly to home institutions
    • Approximately 80 contact hours, equivalent to 5 U.S. semester credits
    • Support Services: Dedicated on-site support provided by MOBT Global’s experienced team

Cultural Activities & Excursions

Each weekend includes structured excursions designed to help students explore Morocco’s cultural, historical, and natural landscapes. Activities may include:

  • Overnight excursion in the Sahara Desert
    Camel trekking, sunset over the dunes, desert camp experience, cultural performances
  • Day trip to Casablanca
    Visit the Hassan II Mosque, the Corniche, and cultural landmarks
  • Day trip to Tangier
    Explore the medina, Cape Spartel, and the historic Kasbah
  • Visits to historical sites around Rabat and surrounding regions
    Chellah, Oudayas, Hassan Tower, ancient ruins, museums, and artisan districts

Housing: Homestay Experience

Students stay with vetted host families in Rabat who provide:
