Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: August 19, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of mobtglobal.org (the “Site”) and your participation in any program, tour, or service offered by MOBT Global LLC (“MOBT Global,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site, submitting an application, or enrolling in a program, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.

If you are a minor (under 18), a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf before you may apply to or participate in any MOBT Global program.

1. About MOBT Global

MOBT Global LLC is a U.S.-based company registered in Ohio. We design and operate private customized tours, faculty-led educational programs for U.S. colleges and universities, and summer fellowship programs for high school students, across several global destinations.

2. Eligibility

Faculty-led and custom tour programs are generally intended for university students, faculty, staff, and affiliated travelers.

Summer Fellowship Programs are intended for high school students, typically ages 15 to 18, and require the consent and participation of a parent or legal guardian in the application and enrollment process.

We reserve the right to decline any application at our discretion, including for reasons related to program capacity, eligibility, or safety.

3. Applications, Enrollment, and Payment

Submitting an application does not guarantee a seat in a program. Acceptance is at MOBT Global’s discretion and is subject to the eligibility, deadlines, and process described for that specific program.

Enrollment is confirmed only after a signed enrollment agreement and required deposit have been received, as described in the applicable program’s pricing and payment policy.

Program fees, deposit amounts, and payment schedules are as stated on the relevant program page at the time of application and are subject to change until an enrollment agreement is signed.

All deposits are non-refundable, as described in each program’s Cancellation & Refund Schedule.

Failure to pay any required balance by its due date may result in cancellation of your enrollment, subject to the applicable refund schedule.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms vary by program and are published on the applicable program’s page at the time of enrollment. In general terms:

  • Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • Refunds of the remaining program balance, if applicable, are calculated based on how far in advance of the program start date the cancellation is received, as described on the specific program’s page.
  • Refund amounts may be further reduced by unrecoverable costs already committed on your behalf, such as non-refundable housing, activity deposits, or transportation.

MOBT Global reserves the right to cancel a program due to insufficient enrollment, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see Section 9, Force Majeure). In such cases, we will communicate available options, which may include a full or partial refund, transfer to another session, or program credit, at our discretion.

5. Participant Responsibilities

By participating in a MOBT Global program, you (and, for minors, your parent or legal guardian on your behalf) agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during the application and enrollment process, including health, dietary, and emergency contact information
  • Obtain and maintain a valid passport and any required visas or travel authorizations for your program’s destination(s)
  • Obtain your own travel and health insurance, as MOBT Global does not provide this coverage (see What’s Included / Not Included on the relevant program page)
  • Follow the reasonable instructions of MOBT Global staff, program leaders, and local partners for your safety and the group’s safety while on program
  • Conduct yourself respectfully toward other participants, staff, host communities, and partner organizations
  • Understand and accept that international travel carries inherent risks, including but not limited to illness, injury, political instability, natural events, and travel disruptions

MOBT Global reserves the right to remove any participant from a program, without refund, whose conduct is found to endanger themselves, other participants, staff, or the reputation of MOBT Global or its partners.

6. Assumption of Risk

Participation in MOBT Global programs involves international travel and activities that carry inherent risks. By enrolling, you acknowledge and accept these risks on behalf of yourself or, for minors, your child. MOBT Global takes reasonable steps to plan and run programs safely, including vetting accommodations, transportation, and local partners, but cannot guarantee an outcome free of risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MOBT Global shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or participation in a program, including but not limited to lost travel costs, missed connections, or trip disruptions caused by third parties (airlines, accommodations, local partners) or events outside our reasonable control.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, and program materials, is the property of MOBT Global or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission.

Photographs or video taken during MOBT Global programs may be used by MOBT Global for marketing and promotional purposes, including on the Site and social media, unless a participant or their parent/guardian opts out in writing.

9. Force Majeure

MOBT Global is not responsible for failure to perform any obligation under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemic or public health emergencies, government travel restrictions, political unrest, strikes, or other events of force majeure. In such cases, we will work in good faith with affected participants on available options.

Your use of those integrated features is also subject to the applicable third party’s own terms. The Site may also link to third-party websites (such as partner universities or accommodation providers); we are not responsible for the content or practices of those external sites.

12. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site or our programs shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or enrollment in a program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
