The story of MOBT Global began in 2010 with a clear and grounded vision to create a bridge between cultures through authenticity and mutual growth. We started as Morocco Off the Beaten Track, an organization dedicated to helping travelers move beyond the surface of a destination to experience the real heart of the communities we visit. Over the first decade, we established ourselves as a top operator in Morocco, but we soon realized that our philosophy of immersion with impact belonged on a larger stage.

In 2021, we transitioned to MOBT Global, a U.S.-based organization, to apply our proven model to new borders. Today, we provide life-changing experiences across Morocco, Spain, Portugal, and several other global destinations. While our reach has grown, we remain deeply connected to our roots, ensuring that every program we run reflects the community-centered values that defined our early years.

We believe we are far more than a logistics provider handling buses and hotels. MOBT Global is an organization for cross-cultural education and a strategic partner in global learning. We take immense pride in the trust placed in us by U.S. universities and colleges to co-create transformative journeys for their faculty and students. Whether we are designing a credit-bearing academic program or a cultural private customized tour, we bring the same level of pedagogical expertise and deep local networking to ensure the experience is meaningful and rigorous.

To make this a reality, we focus on creating affordable, high-impact opportunities for students to deeply immerse themselves in global learning. While our travelers learn from the world, the local communities we partner with gain the opportunity to know and support the American people through the programs we plan together. Driven by social entrepreneurship, we use our professional success to solve social challenges. We have worked with and employed hundreds of locals, supporting community initiatives through equitable practices and intentional service. We educate our local partners on the value of these cross-cultural encounters, ensuring they are active participants who receive a sustainable source of income and a meaningful connection to the global community.

This commitment to education is woven into our entire business model. A percentage of the revenue generated through our cultural private customized tours is directly reinvested into the MOBT Global Engagement Grant. This initiative supports faculty members in launching new programs, providing them with the firsthand experience and confidence they need to lead their students successfully.
