Life in Rabat

Rabat is Morocco's capital, a vibrant city that beautifully blends historical tradition with modern life. As a student here, you'll be immersed in a city known for its stunning architecture, bustling souks, and serene coastal views. It offers a safe and welcoming environment to learn and explore.

Daily Tentative Schedule

Morning

Intensive Arabic language classes at the local institute. You'll focus on grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills to accelerate your learning. Students will take 4 hours of classes from Monday through Friday.

Afternoon

Students can have lunch on campus or outside, followed by structured cultural activities, workshops, or guided tours. Activities could include cooking classes, calligraphy workshops, or visits to local landmarks.

Evening

Free time for personal exploration, socializing with new friends, or relaxing with your host family. This is the perfect opportunity to practice your language skills in a real-world setting.

Do I need a visa for the 4-week program?

Who are the families where I will be staying?

These families are part of the MOBT Global network and have been carefully identified and vetted by our local team with the support of the local authorities. They are experienced in hosting international students and are dedicated to making you feel at home. The homestay families are located in the Medina (old city), providing an authentic cultural experience, and you will be served breakfast and dinner each day.

Will I be able to visit other parts of Morocco?

Yes! While the program is based in Rabat, MOBT Global will plan exciting day and weekend trips to visit several places in the country. These trips are designed to further immerse you in the culture and allow you to explore this amazing country.

What is the weather like during the summer?

Rabat's climate is typically warm and sunny with very little rain during the summer months. The coastal breeze helps to keep the temperatures comfortable, making it a pleasant environment for both studying and exploring.

Will my transcript be transferred back to my institution?

Yes, you will be able to transfer your 5 credits back to your home institution. Your official transcript will be provided by a local partner university recognized for credit transfer with most U.S. colleges and universities.

Where will I be taking my classes?

The classes will be held at the prestigious **Qalam Wa Lawh Institute** in Rabat. The courses are taught by qualified professors from reputable Moroccan institutions, including Mohammed V University and Ibn Tofail University.
